Representatives from approximately 200 colleges and universities will participate in the Bergen County College Fair which will be held at Ramapo College’s Bill Bradley Center in Mahwah, N.J., on Wednesday, March 19. The College Fair is sponsored by the Bergen County Directors of Guidance in association with Ramapo College.
This free event is open to all area students and parents. Representatives from four-year colleges, two-year colleges, technical and business schools will be on hand to answer questions and offer information. High school students are encouraged to register in advance at app.strivescan.com/registration but can attend without a reservation.
The College Fair is a timesaving opportunity for students and parents to gather a lot of information at one time. In addition to asking questions, students and parents will be able to set up college interviews, pick up literature and learn about the various financial aid programs available.
Before you arrive at the College Fair, check the list of participating colleges and schools and select the ones that most interest you. Research these colleges by reading information in your counseling office or by checking out guidebooks or websites. Write up a short list of questions to ask admission representatives. To compare several schools, plan on asking the same questions at each table.
