Learn More: VermontState.edu Student Life at Vermont State Your college experience is a combination of campus location (Vermont State offers five, plus online) and opportunities to make new friends and expand your knowledge of the world along with your program. It’s the whole mix — from sports and clubs to academic and wellness support — that makes your education the launching point for your future. And the University offers it all, at each Vermont State campus. • Castleton Campus: Home to the state’s first institution of higher education, the Castleton Campus is nestled within a village full of New England character in southwestern Vermont. The Woodruff Bells ring out the Castleton Anthem, the Casella Theater is the spot for performances, and Spartan Pride in the 28 NCAA Division III programs here runs deep. Academic programs include a mix of liberal arts, health education, and specialized professional programs, with relationship-based education and community engagement at the core of the student experience. • Johnson Campus: Drawing students ready to explore who they want to become, a commitment to social justice and community activism are part of the Johnson Campus foundation. Home to the University’s creative, fine, and performing arts and wellness degree programs, the arts are prominent here — in indoor gallery spaces and outside along paths on this hilltop overlooking Sterling Mountain. The Dibden Theater draws us together for performances, while cheering on the NCAA Division III Johnson Badgers brings out campus pride. • Lyndon Campus: The hilltop Lyndon Campus is in the heart of Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom, with the Quimby Gallery, Alexander Twilight Theatre, and NCAA Division III Lyndon Hornets all drawing the community. Outdoor pursuits reign here — on campus and off. It’s Outdoor Education, Music Business & Industry, Atmospheric Science, and Communications programs are based here, along with music studios, the weather lab, and News7. Nationally recognized Climate Consensus had its start here and the campus is known for strong student leadership, too. • Randolph Campus: Located in the heart of central Vermont, the Randolph Campus is home to the University’s Advanced Manufacturing Center and is the hub for technical programs including Architectural Engineering Technology and Renewable Energy. The residential experience here is short-term for some students, as they balance learning and working. But residential and commuter students alike hit the trails and ski hill on campus and root on the USCAA Division II Knights! • Williston Campus: The University’s most urban setting, the Williston Campus draws mainly commuter students to its flexible and high-demand healthcare and specialized degree and certificate programs — including Respiratory Therapy, Professional Pilot Technology, and Dental Hygiene. The campus is a short drive from Lake Champlain and all the city of Burlington offers. Education That Will Prepare You for Your Future Here’s what a few students have shared: “Realizing that a short year from now I will have a bachelor’s degree and will be a licensed teacher in Vermont with a deep, rich knowledge of early childhood education fills me with so much excitement.” Laura Gypson
Early Childhood Education “Being able to see an artifact go from the sifter to being cleaned in the lab, and then scanning and creating a 3D digital copy of it is amazing. It’s such a rewarding job.” Samantha LaPlante
Archaeology, Geography, and Applied Anthropology “It has everything I wanted: small, local, and successful. I knew before I even started looking, I wanted to know my professors and I wanted my professors to know me. The success rates and ROI are great — and being able to commute to campus is great, too.” Ian Ford
Nursing and Health Professions *Pending final NECHE approval.
