Students at Five Towns connect with programs they love. Five Towns College is regionally accredited and offers associate, bachelor and master’s degrees. Known as an academy for serious performing arts study, Five Towns College boasts a Doctorate in Musical Arts and industry standard technology is at the core of the academic programs.
Five Towns College is known as a leader in business, communication, entertainment, music education and technology in higher education. Students who are passionate about jazz/commercial music, film/video, interactive computer graphics, business management, audio recording technology, music business, music education, mass communication, broadcasting and journalism, and theatre arts thrive in the vibrant and stimulating college life here.
The College’s faculty is superbly credentialed, with outstanding accomplishments in the entertainment industry and unique expertise that they bring into the classroom. Students experience the pedagogy of critically acclaimed musical theatre actors, design and technology experts, musicians, movie producers and esteemed cinematographers, published writers, talented educators, and professionals in many related fields.
Centrally located in the heart of Long Island, New York, the College is just one hour outside of Manhattan by car or train. It is also just an hour from Long Island’s North Fork and the Hamptons known for film festivals, celebrity events, and a full range of concerts and shows. Students attending Five Towns College enjoy the small and beautiful campus. Transfer students, who may have gotten lost in the crowd at a big university, finally get to connect and enjoy the personal relationships formed at Five Towns. There are four relatively new residence halls that house 200 students in double rooms each with a private bathroom. Campus life is energizing with an active Student Government Association, Residence Hall Association, and USCAA Division III, men’s and women’s basketball teams. Soccer is new for the fall of 2019!
Ongoing opportunities to participate musically, cinematographically and dramatically exist. Five Towns College students learn how to apply their classroom knowledge to the real business world. The Career Services Center helps students network and connect with internships, jobs, develop interview skills, format résumés, and it serves as a practical and professional resource.
