Afterward, visitors can walk a few blocks to historic Downtown DeLand, recognized as one of America's best downtowns with coffee shops, restaurants, quaint shops, and more. The University’s namesake, famed hatmaker John B. Stetson, once owned a winter estate in DeLand and he generously supported the institution in the early years after it was founded in 1883.


Admissions

Applying to Stetson is fast and easy and will provide automatic consideration for merit scholarships of up to $35,000 per year.
